Mulch Colorant

Application Tips & Directions

Protect Surrounding SurfacesNew Mulch In A Bottle is easy for anyone to apply.  Simply apply our product evenly over the desired area using any standard multi-purpose sprayer.  We do recommend using a new sprayer to avoid any harmful pesticides or residue from something previously used.

Preparation

For best results, prepare your mulch bed before applying New Mulch In A Bottle by neatly raking your existing mulch into the desired area.  Mulch should not be wet during application.  Do not apply colorant directly following rain or watering.  Use plastic, cardboard, or a similar material to catch any possible overspray onto surrounding surfaces.  If overspray does occur, simply rinse the area with water immediately to avoid staining.

Easy ApplicationApplication

New Mulch In A Bottle should be applied evenly over the desired area.  The amount of colorant applied will affect the color acheived.  For best results, we provide enough colorant per 12 ounce bottle for 2 applications of up to a 350 square foot area.  The desired color and ground conditions will affect the amount of colorant required.

Mulch Dye - Directions For Use

Multi-Purpose Sprayer1. Shake bottle well before use for at least one (1) minute.
2. Fill a clean multi-purpose sprayer with two (2) gallons of water. Add six (6) ounces of New Mulch In A Bottle to two (2) gallons of water. One twelve (12) ounce bottle allows for two (2) applications.
3. Cap sprayer, shake for at least thirty (30) seconds.
4. Apply evenly, keeping wand three (3) to six (6) inches over dried mulch until desired color is achieved.  Continue to shake the sprayer periodically during application for an even mixture.

Avoid spraying on concrete, masonry products and plants.  Use cardboard, plastic, or some similar material to protect surrounding areas.  If dye gets on masonry products or unintended surfaces, rinse immediately with water. DO NOT APPLY when mulch is wet or below 40 degrees Fahrenheit.  Covers 150-350 sq. feet per six (6) ozs depending on desired color. Wash out sprayer with water when done. Keep pets and children away and allow six (6) hours to dry before watering or rain. Keep from freezing.

Clean Up Is A Breeze!

After applying New Mulch In A Bottle, clean up is quick and simple. Leave any overspray on grass or shrubs to wash off in the next rain - unnecessary water right after application can dilute your mulch color. Rinse off any overspray on any unintended areas such as masonry or siding with water.  Thoroughly rinse sprayer and store any unused portion of New Mulch In A Bottle in a place out of reach of children.
